Republican College League which meets in
Chicago August 3rd, and Jonas Lien was
chosen aB delegate to the National League of
Republican clubs. The club endorsed Mc
Kinley for president.
The Hesi'Euian is glad to announce that
Prof. A. M. "Wilson will have charge of the
Department of Latin in the summer school
at Chautauqua, N. T. The work is planned
in three lines:
Firsts an elementary course for beginners
and those desiring a thorough review.
Second) advanced work, orribracing stu
dies in Oresar and Vergil.
Third) a teachers' conference.
The students are -well pleased that Prof.
"Wilson's eurnestness, ability, and msrhods
of teaching are thus rocognizod.

flourishing condition. It would seem (that
the debate with the U. B. D. C. has given
the Maxwell boys a sense of their own
importance for they are carrying -chips on
flioir shoulders and are constantly on the
look-out for scalps.
