Whereas, Our Heavenly Father in His
infinite mercy has called to rest the mother
of one of our best loved classmates, Miss
Jennie Guile.
Be it resolved, that we, the class of '97,
extend our heartfelt sympathy both to her
and to the bereaved family and commend
them to the true comforter of those who
mourn.
Be it resolved, that a copy of these reso
lutions be sent to our classmate, that a copy
be kept in the class records and that one be

The following song, composed and sung
by "Bob" Manley at the glee club concert,
made quite a hit, and we take great pleas'ure
in publishing it:
A great many strange things I'm sure we will meet
When the man in the moon goes to sleep;
In the street cars the girls will thank you for your
seat,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
In the class-rooms professors will let in some air,
Keene Abbott will get a new cut on his hair,
And Lincoln will get the Nebraska State Fair,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
CHORUS.
When the man in the moon goes to sleep!
When the man in the moon goes to sleep!
I say but its queer all the things that you hear,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
In summer the students will keep off the grass,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
We'll all go to chapel and never skip class,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
The Freshmen who live on the farms by the Platte,
Won't always be hoping that they'll be a frat,
And in winter McNeil will not wear a straw hat,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
CHORUS.
When the man in the moon goes to sleep !
When the man in the moon goes to sleep !
'Twill knock all the starch from the Honey
moon March,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
The girls will choose street cars instead of a hack,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
In foot-ball Dean Gardner will play quarterback,
When the man in the moon goes lo sleep.
The blooming "high private" in the rear rank
perhaps,
Wont wear his duck panLs with a fur winter cap,
And the ball team at Wahoo won't get in a scrap,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
CHORUS.
When the man in the moon goes to sleep !
When the man in the moon goes to sleep!
Your white ducks I think when they wash will
not shrink,
When the man in the moon goes to sleep.
