A typewriter is now on the market which , is radically different from anything that has ever yet been manufactured, having the capacity of writing two letters at the same instant, rendering it possible to write almost, if not quite, twice as rapidly as on any other machine. Its name is the Duplex, and it derives its name from its double alphabet (one for the left hand and one for the right), and also from its double center or two points of contact for type and pa per. The two alphabets are duplicates in arrange ment, and are easily learned. All other typewriters have but one point of contact for type and paper, and hence can print but one letter at a time. In addition to the Duplex feature, this type writer is neat in appearance, occupies but little space, is light and durable, having received at the World's Fair not only awards for speed 'but also for durability. The Frederick & Hamilton Company have the agency for this machine for Lincoln and Lan caster county, and it may be seen at their office at 1 1 20 M street, 3rd floor, or at 1127 O street at S. K. Marley's telegraph school. See cut and advertisement in another column. ' ! I n t m H
