I trust that no one who knows me can justly call me a fanatical auti iratcrnity man, and yet I did not trust myself. to pass judgment on this delicate question. I preferred to have as judges men who have a life long interest in the institution where fraternities arc any thing hut disliked but who, on the other hand, arc not now personally interested in class matters (the most prominent so cieties here arc limited, class affairs) in short, the most com petent as well as impartial judges, and the above remarks arc, in substance, their verdict.
