Those who do not intend to drill after this semester have been re quested to report to head quarters The Senior class elected of ficers for the ensuing semester last Friday. Mr. G. F. Fisher was elected president; Mr. R. C Bentley, vice-president ; Miss Chamberlain, secretary ; Mr. A. C. Fling, treasurer; Mr. A. F. Montmorencv, historian ; Miss Helen Haiti, sergeant-at-arms. At a meeting week belore last the Senior class decided to have no class day exercises. This didn't please the young ladies, so at the last meeting the motion was reconsidered and the de cision was reversed. The men say they will let the young ladies run things to suit themselves. The Freshman class elected ofiicers for next semester on Tuesday afternoon. Miss Mable Ricketts was chosen president, Mr. .Tanobec, vice-president; Miss O'Sullivan, secretary; Mr. LehnhofT, sergeant-at-arms. The alumni banquet on Char ter day is going to be exceed ingly popular. The question at present is not how to fill the armory, but how to accommo date enough people there. It was intended to invite the Senior class to attend, but it looks now as if there wouldn't be room for them. They will have to live in hopes of the Junior-Senior ban quet in June. Among the distinguished guests, expected on Charter day are President Schureman of Cor nell and Prof. Woodrow Wilson of Princeton. lhe Charter day orations were awarded as follows: In dustrial School, F. F. Tucker; Law School, I. H. Hatfield; Academic College, Mr. Qiiain tance. Mr. O. B. Polk, an alumnus of the University and a member of the law firm" -of Mockett, Rainholt & Polk of this city, has offered a gold medal to be given to the winner at the local ora torical contest. Needless to say the oiler was thankfully accepted. Mr. Polk has been chosen third Judge on delivery. He won second place in the Chase & Wheeler contest some years ago and had the reputation in the University of being an excellent speaker. A few more such loyal alumni would be very acceptable.
