Despite rain,
Greek Dance
Party is a Success
While continuous rain and
lightning may have caused
an early end to the annual
Greek Dance Party held
Friday, August 25th, it cer
tainly didn’t dampen the
spirits of partygoers—or the
success of the event.
The all Greek non-alco
holic party held at P.O. Pears
helped raise $2500 for the F
Street Recreation Center.
Aimed primarily at freshmen
and new members of the
Greek system, but attendea
oy all ages, the Greex Dance
Party works to kick off a new
year of expectations and
positive interactions among
the system.
Sponsored by the
women’s Panhellenic
Association and the men’s
Interfraternity Council, the
yearly event consists of
burgers, dancing, volleyball,
and live music. Of course,
the event could not be com
plete without a large
crowd—and this years’ party
played host to over 1500
wet, but happy Greek mem
bers.
