Old standard IHOP offers late night breakfast alternative JJ. Harder Staff writer When finals come, and late night studying is in full effect, no longer do we have to go to Village Inn Restaurant and Bakery or Perkins Restaurant to get kicked out when die coffee’s just kicking in. Those places are but the red headed stepchildren of the daddy of all late-night breakfast joints. Ladies and gentleman, IHOP has arrived. If you were like me, you thought the International House of Pancakes would never come to our IHOP WIHE:»ttMNl Seperier streets WHAT: All eight break lest. $4-9 per meal BOTTOM UNfclfs MOP, lest gel fine state. Fortunately, we were wrong. Lincoln’s IHOP is located at 27th & Superior, closer to campus than the Hi-Way Diner, Lincoln’s current king of late night. So when the decibel level is rising at your place, the IHOP haven isn’t too far away. If you’re unfamiliar with the lore of IHOP, realize that they have more than pancakes. Sure, their pancakes are money, but the menu has non-breakfast foods as well. IHOP has 13 sandwiches that are familiar to any family-style restau rant. The ranch chicken sandwich was average and needed a little more sauce. The appetizer platter came with mozzarella sticks, onion rings and chicken strips, all of which tasted like the same thing. IHOP doesn’t pride itself on dinner meals. Brown Bag Lectures mix history, lunch By KrysiaMaly staff writer The Nebraska Historical Society is inviting you to lunch.
