Looking For Graduate
Student To Serve As An
Advisor In Residence For
A UNL Fraternity
University of Nebraska Fraternity is looking for a
male graduate student with background in educa
tion and or leadership development to serve as a
live-in advisor. Position would include academic
counseling and program development as well as
leadership, ethics, values and conflict resolution
education for the membership and support for ex
ecutive officers in areas of rule enforcement. Posi
tion would work in conjunction with House Parent
and would report directly to Alumni Advisors) and
National Fraternity Office.
Although having been a member of a fraternity
would be beneficial to such a person, it is not a
requirement of the position.
Benefits include $2000 annual salary to be paid
every two weeks in the approximate amount of
$125.00. There is a potential $1000 bonus if goals
established and general reporting requirements
are met. Also included is free room and board (a
single room at no cost and all meals). Other finan
cial^ opportunities may be provided and discussed
at time of interview.
Specific areas of programming will be identified as
needing attention and outlined as part of the job
expectations and requirements. We will provide a
weekend training program (this summer) through
our National Fraternity as well as additional train
ing and understanding of issues and responsibili
ties through a series of meetings over the summer
with alumni advisors.
This role would begin in the fall of 2000 and serve
through the spring of 2001 with options for ex
tending the contract to be considered
