By Katie Mueting Staff writer A vice presidential candidate for one of the RHA election groups said in a debate on Monday night she wants to improve relations between city and east campus residence hall students. Tiffany Quinze, a senior elemen tary education major, said she would have office hours in the East Campus Union, so executive members would have the opportunity to talk with sen ators and residents there. Sponsored by the Residence Hall Association, the presidential and vice presidential debate was held in the Neihardt Blue TV Lounge. Two election groups, Unite and Vision, are campaigning for execu tive RHA positions. Quinze and Presidential Candidate Rebecca Minshull, a jun ior family sciences major, are run ning with the Unite group. This would force outside organi zations to ask hall governments for event funding, causing the organiza tions to advertise for their events closer to the students they want to reach, Ball said. Quinze said she would imple ment a “buddy hall system” that would pair a city campus residence , hall with an east campus residence hall. Minshull said these halls could team up for events. “There are three halls on east campus that don’t get involved as they could be with halls on city cam pus,” Minshull said. nan saiu ne warns to involve non-senate members in RHA.
