Construction trailer stolen
A trailer was stolen from a Dose
Construction site at 7505 Plum Creek
Drive at 1 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Police said a neighbor reportec

the side, police said.
Man punches through car
window, injures driver
University Police on Saturday
morning found that the UNL campus
is not immune to road rage.
Rodney D. Roach, 24, of Lincoln,
was cited for assault and criminal
mischief, after Joshua Shear, 26, was
punched while he was in his car ai
17th and Vine streets.
At about 12:30 a.m., Shear was
seen turning a blue Honda into the
Texaco gas station on the northeasi
comer of the intersection.
The car then fish-tailed anc
turned west on Vine Street. The drivei
stopped and backed the car into the
gas station entrance, police reports
said.
A man was then seen running
from the vehicle.
The officer approached Shear’s
vehicle and saw that the driver’s side
window had been broken, and Sheai
had been punched.
Roach told police Shear had triee
to run him over.
Roach will appear in court Jan
27.
Bank robbed twice in a month
West Gate Bank was the target o:
a robbery for the second time in one
month.
Police said a man entered the
bank, 2662 Cornhusker Hwy., at
11:23 a.m. Tuesday and passed a note
; to a bank teller demanding money.
The suspect then left the building
! with an undisclosed amount of
money and headed west on
■ Cornhusker Highway in his car.
i No weapon was seen during the
robbery, police said.
The suspect was described as a 5
foot-7 white male in his 20s wearing
a black coat, baseball cap and sun
glasses.
Reports said he was driving a
black vehicle, possibly a Mitsubishi.
Brian Lavelle, a loan officer for
West Gate, said the bank was not dis
closing any information concerning
the robbery.
Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs
said Tuesday there were no suspects.
Two churches burglarized
Two Lincoln churches were bur
glarized sometime between Sunday
afternoon and Monday evening,
police said.
Police said there could be a con
nection between the two burglaries.
Burglars broke a small stained
glass window on the north side of
Calvary Lutheran Church, 2788
Franklin St., police said, and a VCR
and boom-box stereo were taken.
The burglary occurred between
noon Sunday and 9:45 a.m. Monday.
The second burglary happened at
St. James Church, 2499 S. 11th St.,
between 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Monday evening.
After gaining entry by breaking a
window, police said, the burglars
! broke a window of an office and stole
two televisions, a computer and a
wheelchair.
The televisions were in the trash
outside of the church; the wheelchair
was found in an alley behind the
church.
There are no suspects for either
burglary.
