By John Gaskins Staff writer When members of Pat Sullivan’s 1975 Nebraska volleyball team first tied their shoelaces and stepped onto the court, they probably didn’t even come close to fathoming the celebration that took place Saturday night at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. They probably didn’t fathom that they were building the foundation of one of the nation’s premier volleyball programs, a program that has won 81 percent of its matches, 21 confer ence championships and a national champi onship in 1995. When asked what she liked best about her job, she said, “I like every thing.” It is apparent that working with stu dents is her passion. Every spring semester, she teaches a University Honors Seminar called “Improving Children’s Life Chances” for juniors and seniors through the Service Learning Program.
