Halloween lets
the good go bad,
the bad go good
Eating candy com, stealing pumpkins and putting
razor blades in candy apples are a few ways to have fun
on Halloween.
Putting cyanide in fruit punch is also fun.
This is a joke. As will be your friend when he or she
dresses like a bimbo this weekend.
It’s inevitable. Given an excuse, in this case a socially
accepted night of dressing like a freak, people will
indulge their risque side and push the boundaries of taste
to the edge and beyond. ’
In other words, it’s a night for guys with huge breasts
and tight cheerleader outfits.
Trick or treat.
“Guys don’t really seem to be going for ‘macho’
here,” said Ann Meier, manager of Thingsville in
Gateway Mall. “Nurses and cheerleaders are pretty pop
ular.”
Ironically, it seems women are after the same effect
this season.
“Yeah, they definitely look for the skimpy ones -
however they can get away with wearing as little as pos
sible,” Meier said.
According to Phyllis Spahn at Fringe and Tassel
Costumes, 735 O St., other popular characters this year
have been Austin Powers, gangsters, cowboys and Elvis.
She said Fringe and Tassel, despite being open all
year, orders extra stock for the Halloween season.
