Helping you make a difference!
Full and part-time positions are now available with
CSHI, a nationally-recognized program of Lincoln Public
Schools which works to enhance educational outcomes
and opportunities for students and their families. CSHI
AmeriCorps members work within public elementary
schools to provide tutoring, mentoring and
family outreach, and to assist in the creation and im
plementation of academically-enriched afterschool and
summer programming. Members also serve as commu
nity leaders, developing community events and part
nerships designed to enhance the quality of life for all.
In addition to an excellent training package, leadership
development opportunities, deferment of govern
ment-guaranteed student loans, and a chance to make
a real difference in their communities, CSHI
AmeriCorps members also receive the following bene
fits: Full-Time: A living allowance of $8,730 and an ed
ucational award of $4,725 for a minimum of 1,700
hours of service to be completed in a 10-12 month pe
riod, paid health insurance, and paid child care for
qualified applicants. Part-Time: A living allowance of
$4,622 and an educational award of $2,362 for a mini
mum of 900 hours of service to be completed in a
10-12 month period.
Desired qualifications include a bachelors degree or
1 -3 years of related volunteer or job experience, a com
mitment and desire to work with children and their fam
ilies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
the ability to work both independently and as a team, a
good driving record and dependable transportation,
and the ability to work occasional weekends and eve
nings.

Service, a public-private partnership whose mission
is to engage Americans of all ages and backgrounds in
