Over the next years of your life, you’ll see it often, I presume, and even occasionally read it. It is one of the best college news papers in America, and some years, it’s probably the best. We may be classified a third-tier school, but this publication doesn’t reflect that in the least. I’ve never been one to advertise, but the Daily Nebraskan, or the DN as many call it, serves a valuable and necessary function on this campus. It is stands outside of professional newspapers and reports specifically on campus related events and of course, Nebraska sports. But many people who don’t go to college here still read us, because we serve a valuable function of recording the city and state’s activities, as well. If you’re interested in the legislature, it’s here. Our Arts & Entertainment section is more in tune than most pro fessional papers as to what you’re looking for music and a good time. . Beyond those advantages, the DN offers a great many things. Among them: A great crossword puzzle. Many people, instead of reading the paper, just do the crossword puzzle. Now you too can challenge Grandma to battle of phonic wit next time you see her. She will be impressed. A classified ads section, with Greek post-it boards included! Oh yes, you will get used to these quick ly. Often times, fraternities and soror ities will post messages that seem fit for a seventh grade class.
