full-time and part-time work in the Data Communication
division. The hours will vary during the time and
days of midnight to Sam. Sunday-Saturaay. Incumbents
will provide Data Communication Internet Service tech
nical support. This includes first level Help
Desk telephone support and problem resolution, with
some proactive network monitoring, and reactive net
work problem resolution.
Candidates must minimally exhibit the following knowl
edge and skills:
• Well developed interpersonal, written and oral com
munication skills
• Intermediate to expert use of a personal computer,
including operating system software configuration
• Experience with word processor and spreadsheet
programs
• Experience with Netscape and Internet Explorer ap
plications
• Experience with HTML programming
• Knowledge in the operation of dial modems and re
lated configuration commands
• Knowledge in TCP/IP network protocols
• Experience with SMTP UNIX type mail programs
• Knowledge of common LAN systems
Strongly prefer education in computer science or a re
