$8.50 per hour
Wears seeking applications for the Lottery Ambassador
positions, this is a summer position with varied
work hours which may be 10 to 12 hours a day, and
then 4 to 5 hours the next day. Start date is May 24,
1999 through mid to late August 1999.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Act as Ambassador/representatives for the Nebraska
Lottery. Will conduct lottery events state wide at re
tailers, community events, county fairs and other public
functions. Will run promotional events at all these
locations. Able to interact with players of the Nebraska
Lottery with knowledge of the games and programs
of the Lottery. Occasionally sell Lottery Scratch and
Lotto tickets.
REQUIREMENTS:
Significant experience in dealing with the public and
promotional involvement
Energetic and pleasant and highly dependable (looking
for someone committed to tne job, who won't quit
half way through the summed)
Willingness to work extra hours if needed (including
weekends). Most work weeks will probably be Thurs
day-Sunday.
Must be self-starter and hard worker. Physical re
quirement: must be able to move and transport a variety
of promotional material that may be bulky.
Flexible—this schedule will require the employee to be
extremely flexible and have the ability to travel state
wide—overnight travel is likely.
Ability to use calculator and balance sales of products
at the end of each event
Valid Nebraska driver* license, access to personal ve
hicle, and ability to complete the State of Nebraska's
Defensive Driving Course. Must be 21 or over.
Note: Professional experience or a college student of
junior level in advertising or marketing would be ideal
for this position but is not required.
