With the new season, Sanderford
said he is again trying to focus on
rebounding. Last season, the Huskers
held a rebounding advantage in every
game but two.
“We are trying to create an image
here at Nebraska as a hard-nosed phys
ical team,” Sanderford said. “You bet
ter pack a lunch if you are going to play
us.”
Sanderford said he is going to try to
calm down some this year. He even bet
a group of reporters lunch he wouldn’t
drop kick a basketball like he did last
season.

Piatkowski as a 3-point specialist.

at small forward, Nee said. Both start
ed at times last season.

around freshman Louis Truscott A 6
foot-7 freshman, Truscott was a con
sensus Top 100 recruit out of Milby
High School in Houston.
“You’re going to like this guy’s tal
ent” Nee said. “He’s getting rebounds
off the rim.”
