OSU dissatisfied with moral victory
Cowboys hoped for win against NU

KANSAS CITY. Mo. The
Oklahoma State football team walked
away from a battle with the second
ranked team in the country Saturday
with a moral victory.
OSU beat the Cornhuskers in near
ly ecery aspect of the game, topping
NT in passing yards, running yards,
first downs and time of possession
But the Cowboys failed to outdo
Nebraska when it counted the most.
With a chance to tie the game at 24 w ith
five seconds remaining in the fourth
quarter. Oklahoma State 1-back Nathan
Simmons rushed for no gam at the Nl
I-card line.
The Cowboys fell to Nebraska 24

Stadium. And for OSl linebacker
Raymond Cato, that was the bottom
line. Forget about moral victories.
"We wanted to proce we weren't
here just to be here." said ( ato. who
totaled nine tackles including four for

OSU Coach Bob Simmons said the

“We played disciplined football and

our composure

game plan, and we thought we could

But ironically, it was their execution
or lack of it that mav have doomed
the Cowboys. \
