A barbecue dinner with beer and soft drinks will be served from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to those who made dinner reservations earlier this month. All eligible seniors are welcome after 7:30 p.m. About 326 seniors attended last year. “It’s fun,” said Shelley Zaborowski, director of student pro grams for the University of Nebraska Alumni Association. “It’s a great chance for seniors to have a good time and say goodbye to some of their friends.” Many also attend to meet alumni from their college and begin making alumni connections, Zaborowski said. The casual event’s food, drinks and dancing are complimentary. But seniors must purchase a $15 new graduate alumni membership to be eligible for the door prizes, includ ing $550 cash, a television, a cordless telephone and local restaurant gift certificates. The event is sponsored by the University of Nebraska Student Alumni Association and supported by 10 college alumni boards. Representatives from each col lege’s alumni board arid some col leges’ administrations also will attend.
