Sorority sponsors pool tourney To raise money for the Ronald McDonald House, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority will sponsor an eight-ball pool tournament Sunday at Madsen’s Bowling and Billiards at 40th and Holdrege streets. The tournament will begin at 11:30 a.m., and will last as long as needed, depending on the number of teams participating. Teams consist of two players. Registration is $20 per team, and all proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House, a national organi zation that serves as “a home away from home for families with hospi talised children,” said Alpha Delta Pi philanthropy chairwoman Karina Greenlee. This is the first year for the Alpha Delta Pi pool tournament, and Greenlee said the sorority chose to have a pool tournament because it’s a sport that all ages and both men and women can enjoy. “It’s something most people are interested in and like to do,” Greenlee said, “and it’s something that no one else really does (as a fund-raiser).” Anyone wishing to participate can register a team by calling Greenlee at (402) 436-9040 any time until the start of the tournament.
