Last week RHA imposed sanc tions on Golden Key after die group distributed campus guides in resi dence hall mailboxes and did not place required stickers naming RHA as a sponsor on the books. Golden Key representative Jennifer Griffin wrote a letter of apology to RHA, explaining die cir cumstances behind the mistake. Griffin’s letter said because of a short deadline and communication problems with the company that was printing the stickers, some books did not receive stickers. RHA President Ben Wallace said he was happy about this letter. r 7^ 7" communication between RHA and Golden Key,” Wallace said. “We in no way blame Golden Key for not being able to get the stickers on after receiving this letter.” RHA also discussed a nondis crimination bill it is writing. Wallace said the bill has been placed on hold because there have been some changes to it in the past weeks. Rob Holburn, social events chairman, is working on the bill with Wallace and said he wants the hill to mean something to the uni versity community. “It is unfortunate this bill was not written earlier,” Holburn said. “I think it really does a good job of say ing what we need to do concerning this issue.” RHA also passed a bill to allow University Leadership Conference brochures to be distributed through hall mailboxes. The brochures will list RHA as a sponsor, and RHA allocated $100 toward the printing of the brochures. RHA approved a bill giving $50 to the “Race for the Cure” breast cancer research foundation. The money will go to further breast can cer research. RHA passed another bill saying that all organizations that come to RHA with bills asking for money must also present an accompanying budget saying what the money will be used for. Treasurer Kristen Morrow said this bill would make everyone’s job easier. “The budgets will list things like how much the organization is spending on the event, their total expenditures, and where else they are going for possible funding,” Morrow said. ------i-1 ./O’ •:>V v' ■<*£.>• ;Thc Daily Nebraska^;is Ibq^ing lor someone creative to be ourariiew online etfetor tog the remainder of the*}all semester utfcsj, ttie upcoming spring semester.
