Assault
A Lincoln man was badly beaten in
his home Saturday night by a man who
said he was looking for someone else.
Jeffrey Saddoris, 42, 430 W.
Butler St., arrived at Lincoln General
Hospital with multiple injuries.
At the hospital, Saddoris told
police that an older, blue four-door
car pulled up to his house.
A man walked up to the door,
knocked and asked for Saddoris’
roommate. When Saddoris said the
roommate wasn’t home, the man
started punching him.
Saddoris said he was knocked to
the floor, where the man continued to
kick and punch him. He told officers
he passed out and awoke on the
kitchen floor. Saddoris’ roommate
took him to the hospital.
The suspect is described as an
American Indian male, 25-30 years old.
He is 6 feet 3 inches tall with a stocky
build and long hair in a pony tail.

■ Career Services

interview on campus.
By Josh Funk
Assignment Reporter
Today is the last chance for stu
dents to submit their resumes for the
first round of campus interviews.
Seniors preparing to graduate in
May or December should submit
their resume to Career Services,
Nebraska Union Room 230, to be
considered by companies conducting
jobs interviews on campus, said
Christine Timm, assistant director of
Career Services.
In this first round of interviews,
20 companies are coming to the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
including 3M, Coca-Cola Co. and
Kraft Foods.
Despite the strong job market stu
dents still need to take an active role
in finding a job, Timm said.
To take that active role, students
can interview with more than 215
employers scheduled to conduct job
interviews on campus this semester,
Timm said.
“We have leading companies in
every career field like Motorola,
Microsoft and Maytag coming to
campus,” Timm said.
To be considered by\any of
these companies students heed to
submit their resumes to career ser
vices and register with them, Timm
said.
Each Tuesday there is a resume
submission deadline for the next
round of companies coming to inter
view on campus. The companies arepr
listed at Career Services and on their
Web page <http://www.unl.edu/
careers/irs/cin.htm>.
Also, by registering their resumes
with Career Services, students can
take advantage of their resume refer
ral service, Timm said.
“When companies come to us
asking for an applicant with certain
qualifications we just send out all the
resumes that qualify,” Timm said.
“Last year we sent out over 18,000
resumes to companies.”
