If tonight’s movies are anything , like Wednesday’s, audiences are sure to be impressed. Tyler Sutton, an attorney in Lincoln came out of the Sean Penn movie, “Indian Runner,” looking dazed and troubled, j “It was powerful and difficult to watch at times,” Sutton said. According to Hope Medina, a senior theater student who works at the Ross Theater, films of such cal iber are to be the norm of the festival. She thinks the festival is a sort of breakthrough for the region. “A lot of people don’t associate filmmaking with the Great Plains; they think we’re artless and uncul tured out here,” she said, “ watching these movies you’ll see it’s really untrue.” «*"■ Un the schedule tor tonight are Courtesy Photo the movies “Your Humble Serpent: PETER FONDA will be honored at the Great Plains The Wisdom Reuben Snake. Though the classic cartoon series is a bit out of date with today's young sters, with minds full of Animaniacs and a decent combination of Batman and Robin, the images and ideas are familiar enough; its basically Tarzan with no brains, extra muscles and loads of laughs.
