Burnett Hall set to open in August From. Staff Reports Burnett Hall, which was closed last summer for interior renovation, should be open in time for the first day of classes this fall semester. The hall had long been consid ered in need of attention and finally received it in September 1995 when the NU Board of Regents approved the plan for asbestos removal, reno vation and remodeling, which was p ished heavily by Regent Robert Allen of Hastings. I i Garage construction on schedule From Staff Reports Parking woes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have become as routine as the changing of the seasons, but that hasn’t stopped attempts to alleviate some of the problems. UNL’s latest strike against this seemingly interminable issue is the new parking garage at 10th and T streets, which has an expected com pletion date of Aug. 29. The 600-stall, four-story garage will also house the Husker Authentic shop, a Husker merchan I dise store that will be owned and operated by the Athletic Department. Construction costs for the garage have been placed at more than $8 million. Despite weather delays earlier this year, the garage is still expected to be finished by its target date Any delays beyond that would allow the university to seek liquida tive damages — unforeseen costs — at a rate of $1,000 per day past the deadline. Students and faculty will be able to use the new garage beginning Aug. 30. I Panhellenic g Association invite you to become a part of our Greek System.
