Nebraska Women's Softball
Team is coming on strong while I

. accident and now uses a prosthetic leg, will
compete in the Ultimate Track and Field
. Invitational in San Diego in April.
At the Invitational, Heim will compete
against the top disabled athletes in the
nation to earn sponsorship for his trip to the
ParaOlympics in Sydney, Australia, in the
year 2000. Heim, who unofficially has record
ed better times than the world record of 11,9
in the 100-meter dash, hopes to compete in
the shot put, discus, 200-meter, and whatever else he
can qualify for.
Heim plays center on the UNL Wheelchair
Basketball Team. He also enjoys lifting weights and
playing the piano.
