£ The coming of spring is heralded by signals that the
season is changing. Among these is the beginning of
baseball season. What would be a better way to celebrate
p the beginning of the Baseball season than to come out to
Beltzer Field on March 18 to see the Cornhuskers take on
E their arch-rivals, the Creighton Bluejays? The first pitch is
scheduled to cross the plate at 1:30 p.m ... If you've never
seen the Men's and Women's Gymnastics teams' gravity
defying talents, experience a double-dose of high-flying
entertainment on March 16. Come to the Devaney Sports
Center at 2 p.m. and see both highly touted teams make
E strides toward the National Championship against power
's. £ house Penn State. This will be one of the most exciting
meets of the year, and a good crowd could really make

THE GOAL OF THIS ^PORTSPAGE IS TO INFORM STUDENTS ABOUT SPORTS ON CAMPUS.
DOING IT...
Led by 5th-year senior Jeremy Eickhoff,
the University of Nebraska is the two-time
defending national champion in football—
Intramural Co-Rec Football. Eickhoff, an
Environmental Studies major, is Captain of a
squad that has won Nebraska's co-rec foot
ball program the same caliber of respect
that the Varsity Football Team has earned. ,
Eickhoff's team won the campus -
Intramural and Regional NIKE Tournaments to qualify for the NIKE Invitational
Flag Football Championship in New Orleans. There they earned the right to
play in the championship game just before the Sugar Bowl, and won.
This past summer, Eickhoff played on an E League men's softball team that *
won the state championship and played in regionals in Kansas City. He also is a
staff assistant for Intramurals and is on the scrimmage team for the Women's
Basketball Program.
He's truly a man for all seasons.
