Are you getting a little tired of wasting
your Sunday afternoons on old movies
and cartoons? Do you want a chance to
show off your athletic prowess? Take
advantage of the Intramural Indoor
%
Track Meet on February 16. Contact the
Campus Rec Center for more informa
tion . . . Help support our Women's
Gymnastics Team as it reaches for new
heights in 1997. The Lady Cornhuskers
will compete against the nation's elite,
including Arizona State, California, and
Eastern Michigan, in the Masters Classic
on February 23 at noon at Devaney. The
event is one of Nebraska's most impor
tant meets of the year.
IE GOAL OF THIS SPORTSPAGE IS TO INFORM STUDENTS ABOUT SPORTS ON CAK
D O I N G I T . . .
College can be a wild ride—more literally for some than
others. UNL senior Sara Ragatz is UNL Women's
Rodeo Team captain and PR director.
Ragatz recently helped lead her team to a
fourth place finish in a 20-team regional rodeo. In
addition to heading Nebraska's rodeo program,
J I Ragatz also is the Great Plains regional director in
charge of 20 teams. She is one of 11 directors who
W will organize the Collegiate National Finals Rodeo .
later this year.
Ragatz grew up in Lancaster, Wisconsin, and chose the University of
Nebraska because of its strong rodeo program and quality academics.
She is a Horticulture/Landscape Design major.
In high school, Ragatz was a three-time event state champion and
served as the national secretary for the High School Rodeo Program.
