Washington said Cole jumped out of the convertible and said, “What’s up?” “Hie way he said it didn’t mean how’s my day going,” Washington said. After exchanging words, Washing ton said Cole squared off for a fight. Washington got back into Brown’s car and the two left. Later that evening, Washington said he, Brown and Muhammad de cided to go to the Kwik Shop. Wash ington said that as he walked out he saw Muhammad and Brown fighting with Cole. Washington testified that during the fight, he stood next to the Kwik Shop building, away from where the fight ended up. When Brown backed off Cole, Washington said he walked over to his friend, thinking the fight was over. “When I got to Willis, I heard what I thought was a gunshot, or a loud u No one I knew was shot.
