    Assault
Lincoln police arrested a 36
year-old man Saturday night for al
legedly attacking a 14-year-old boy
at Gateway Mall.
Karl Eisbach of Lincoln was
taken into custody and booked on
suspicion of third-degree assault
and disturbing the peace, Officer
Chris Peterson said. J
Eisbach told police that four
boys were goofing around in one of
the mail’s courtesy wheelchairs and
bumped into him twice, Peterson
said. None of the boys was disabled.
Witnesses said Eisbach then
threw one of the boys up against a
wall in the commons area, near the
food court, Peterson said.
A mall security officer and mall
patron got between the boy and
Eisbach, Peterson said. The boy
pulled loose and all the.boys ran
from the area.
Eisbach then rushed to the other
side of the mall and allegedly told a
customer-service cleric to call mall
management because three security
officers had been shot, Peterson
said. Eisbach later denied making
the statement.
The clerk called 911 dispatch at
7:38 p.m., sending police and a res
cue unit to the scene. No one was
seriously hurt in the incident.
