Each song from "The Garden" is
unique and has its own personality
representing several genres of
music. The album holds many
musical tangents, lyrical imagery
and emotion all of which will help
transfer her success from Australia
to North America.
Each song from "Acoustic Soul" is
distinctive and representative of the
unique sound that is Intrigue. They
manage to take the qualities of
vastly different genres and sculpt
the melodies, harmonies and vocal
delivery into something they can call
their own.
As members of Talking Heads, Chris
Frantz, Jerry Harrison, and Tina
Weymouth comprised the most
important rhythm section of any
CBGB's-era band. Now as simply
The Heads, they have taken the
basics of that sound into another
era with a unique assortment of
vocalists complementing The Heads'
signature instrumental style.
Part crooner, part rapper, part
saxophone and all smooth. Hunter
is the latest entry into R&B's
increasingly soulful arena. Like
'D'Angelo and Maxwell, Hunter
mixes romance and music in a way
that recalls the great soul singers
of the 60's and 70's. This is the
debut album of 23 year old Chicago
native Hunter.

The UK press is already salivating,
now America is 'avin it. The
intelligentsia is about to attack.
Along with the band's infectious
riffs and hooks, let's just say there
will definitely be some classically
indecent British behavior written
about.

Poignant, stark and often disturbing,
these songs are settings for gothic
tales from America's heartland,
masterpieces in miniature that
evoke the spirit of author Flannery
O'Connor and the musical realism
of Springsteen's "Nebraska."

$9.88 CD
Awesome songs by this NY three
piece is o followup to lost year's
highly successful American
Recordings debut "Laughing
Gallery." Quirky, catchy guitar
driven pop songs with a hard edge
that will make you fall in love with
music all over again.

Among My Swan
$11.88 CD
The band have been busy in London
and Berkeley producing an album of
extraordinary beauty. Alternative
Press writes, "Speak softly and
carry a big mystique." The LA Times
writes, "The Mazzy Star experience
is well worth having." Minimalists,
texturulists, artists; "Among My
Swan" is a classic album.
