doing It... Nebraska is not exactly mountain biking country. Ken BIsmII grew up in the Nebraska town of North Plat te, where com fields stretch long and flat out to the horizon, yet he finished eighth in the Iron Horse Clas sic in Durango, Colorado. He followed that victory with a 12th place finish in the King of the Rockies race in Winter Park, Colorado. It turns out the Great Plains have some rugged terrain on which to train, after all. Because Ken has managed to overcome this geographical “handicap” and compete on a national level. J Bissell hits the books as hard as he hits the trails. W The freshman biology major is also a National Merit W Scholar. And he counts the Bausch and Lomb Science [ Award among his many academic achievements.
