Now that the 1995-96
Centrex is being distributed,
some may be wondering what
to do with their 1994-95
Centrexes.
“It’s a recyclable telephone
book,” said Dale Ekart, coordi
nator of the UNL Recycling
Department. “The paper is us
able office paper.”
Ekart said old Centrexes
could be recycled by cutting the
plastic spiral binding with scis
sors, unwinding the plastic from
the back of the book and depos
iting the rest of the book in any
paper recycling bin.
“The shiny covers are not a
problem,” Ekart said. “The color
of the paper makes no differ
ence.”
Every UNL office should be
receiving a new Centrex within
the next two weeks, he said.
