Sooners Continued from Page 7 dicative of Oklahoma's effort. The two teams traded 59 sideouts before Nebraska won the first game. Only 43 sideouts were posted in the sec ond and third games combined. Pettit said Oklahoma probably did not put forth their best effort against the Huskers on Saturday. “They may have felt this match was meaningless to them," he said. “Let's say that they played hard and beat us here. That wouldn’t do any thing for them." On Friday in the Big Eight tour nament, Pettit said he expected to sec a different attitude from Oklahoma. “If they beat you in Omaha,” he said, “and they beat Colorado, then they go to the NCAA tournament.” Oklahoma scored first in the sec ond game, but after falling behind 3 2, the Sooners failed to score again. “This is really a remarkable team,” Pettit said. “I'm not saying remark able in the sense of how good they are. I don’t think they are a great team. I think they are remarkable in how they play every night.” 17th & 'N' St. No Appointments Necessary 476-9466 $6 Off Oil Changes Service NOW for $1 Q95 ONLY 1 O (reg. The Huskers shot 8 for 21 behind the three-point arc. “It’s a characteristic of our team,” Beck said. “We lived by the three to day, and thankfully we didn’t die by it.” Nebraska started the game when Dillavou and Kubik, who led the Huskers with 17 points, made back to-back three-pointers to give the Huskers a 6-0 lead.
