I think getting over the Big Eight tourna ment hump is really going to help us." Nee said this team had a better chance to win than the 1991 team, which went into the tour nament w i th a 26-7 record and a No. 3 seed. The 1991 Huskers lost 89-84 to 14th-secded Xavier, Ohio. “The difference between the 1991 team and the ’94 team is the maturity of how to handle it,” Nee said. “Our team really is focused. I can tell from the little meeting we just had. They want to play basketball. They want more than this.” How much more can the Huskers get? “1 think we can get to the Sweet 16,” Boone said. “Anything can happen,” Johnson said. “It’s tournament time and anything can happen. And that’s our goal — to make something happen. Right now we’re on a roll. We’re just thinking six games.”
