ast Friday was warm and sunny, a gorgeous
spring day after a long string of cloudy,
cold, cruddy ones.
But it was exceptional in more respects than the weather.
On April 16, 1993, eight Daily Nebraskan photographers
wonceaon Z4 Hours ot student Lite, a documentary ot one
day in the life of University of Nebraska-Lincoln students.
From sunrise Friday to sunrise Saturday, we set out to show a typical
day in the lives ofUNL students. The shoot was the result of weeks of
brainstorming, planning and phone calls in an effort to be fair,
complete and inclusive.
Obviously, this isn’t possible. To truly document an entire day at
UNL would require every one of you to carry a camera. Then, the paper
would not have room for all the pictures. .
So we narrowed our vision. Although instructors, administrators
and other workers are important at UNL, we concentrated only on
students — at class, at home, at work and at play, students with
different backgrounds, activities and affiliations.
From about 2,000 possible images, only the 11 most interesting and
eye-pleasing photos were selected to run in today’s paper.
This section is a peek at a smattering of the 26,000-some students
who attend this university. We thank them for letting us and the rest of
you into their lives, if only for an instant. And we hope you enjoy these
photos as much as we enjoyed making them.
Have a great Friday.

Trfmarchi, Travis Haying, Damon Lea, Tbarassa Goodlatt, and
