The Comhuskers are ranked 15th in the AP preseason poll, the same spot they occupied in 1977, the last time Nebraska debuted out of the Top 10. "That’s people’s opinion and they’re entitled to their opinions,” Nebraska Coach Tom Osborne said of the poll. “I’ve said for years that the first rank ing of the season doesn’t really mean a whole lot, so we’ll just have to wait and see if they’re right or wrong.” Osborne said the lower-than-usual spot in the poll shouldn’t make much difference to his squad. “If you have a good team, it doesn’t hurt," he said. “If the pollsters are right, then that’s not good... I think we’ve got a good team, so it’ll be interesting.” Florida State is No. 1 in the Top 25. The Seminolcs are the overwhelm ing choice, getting 49 of 60 first place votes and 1,483 of a possible 1,500 points from a nationwide panel of sports writers and broadcasters. Three Nebraska opponents are in the Top 25, including No. 4 Washing ton. The Huskersand the Huskies will meet Sept. 21 in Lincoln. Big Eight conference rivals Okla homa and Colorado, last year’s na tional co-champion, are 10th and 13th respectively. In addition, Nebraska opponents Colorado Stale and Kansas received votes. -K Discover Kinko’s ■ and come in for a quick byte.
