So, some clients do decide to
get the whole treatment: a palm
reading, cards and the psychic
reading.
Roberts said all forms of pre
diction are good if the reader knows
what he or she is doing.
And all types of people read
today, she added, including men
and women, all races and people
of all nationalities.
Roberts is of Yugoslavian heri
tage — her grandfather arrived in
New York as a small child with his
parents, then came west. They still
speak the language at home.
Roberts has been reading at her
Omaha location, 3413 Leaven
worth, for 22 years. Roberts said
she has seen many clients come
and go.
"Pve got people who were
young, now they have teenagers
of their own," sne said.
Roberts said her clients are of
all ages and most are women even
though she does have some steady
male clients.
Most of her new business comes
from word of mouth referrals from
clients who "have a reading and
mention it to their friends, she
said.
Some people come for readings
once a year to see what's coming
in the new year or maybe those
same people will call if they're in a
predicament and need some help
with a decision, she said.
"It's just not the idea of when
they should come in but when
they want to come in or feel they
really want help with a problem.
"I had a lady from Offutt and
this was before the war." Roberts
explained. "'Do you see me going
overseas?* she asked, and the cards
said she was going to travel over
water soon."
Sometimes, people have prob
lems in their life that they feel they
can't even tell family members,
Roberts said.
"Sometimes, I see that problem
and when I do, then they're so
relieved I hit on it," she said, "that
they open up and they reveal their
problem. It's a beginning."
