Competitors will be asked a question and will be awarded 20 points if they answer it correctly within 30 seconds. If they fail to answer it, their opponent will be awarded 10 points if they provide the correct response within 15 seconds. The four contestants include Chris Oerman, a junior from Craig, who is enrolled in the Teachers College; Gene Tingwald, an unde dared junior from Omaha; Chris Shecren, a junior in the College of Arts & Sciences; and David Schwartz, a sophomore engineer ing major from Falls City. Nee says coaches, players won’t give up, will try new lineup against Oklahoma By Jeff Apel Senior Editor Nebraska men’s basketball coach Danny Nee refuses to give up. Nee said he isn’t giving up even though his team has lost five of its last six games to drop its record to 7-10 overall and 04 in the Big Eight. Things do not gel any easier for the Corn huskers, as they travel to Norman, Okla., to face ninth-ranked Oklahoma on Wednesday night. Nee said Nebraska needs to do an about-face in its fundamentals in order to salvage its remaining conference season. “We feel the fundamentals are breaking down,” Nee said during his weekly press conference Monday. “At times our fumiamentals are notsound. That’s the only way I can put it.” Nee said neither he nor his players arc giving up on the rest of the season. ‘‘This is not over,” he said. “It’s not over until we say it’s over. It’s never entered my mind that we can’t get it done. “I think (the players) are really uymg. uuu , nicy ic ujmg. Nee said the Nebraska coaches are taking the same approach toward the Oklahoma game that they have taken toward any other contest. He said the only changes will be the benching of center Rich King and swingman Ray “Ice” Richardson. Nee said senior Richard van Pocl geesl will replace King because the 7 foot-2 junior has been struggling against frequent double-team compe tition. King tallied four points during the first half of Nebraska’s 91-83 loss to Iowa Slate on Saturday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Nee said Keith Moody will re place Richardson. He said Moody was inserted because he will give Nebraska an extra ballhandler against Oklahoma’s trapping defense.
