The rate for a double room with 13 meals per week rose from 52,255 to S2,375. The rate for a double room with 20 meals per week was raised from 52,310 to $2,430. James Griesen, UNL vice chan cellor for sludeni affairs, said ihe in crease will cover the costs of air conditioning in Selleck Quadrangle, an expanded meal plan for unlimited food in the dining halls and salary increases. The Residence Hall Association unanimously approved the increase, Griesen said. The board also approved a $29 million needs statement for a Center for Advanced Technologies facility. The federal government will provide $21.9 million for the facility. State and private funds will make up the balance. The center will include space for biotechnology labs and offices and the departments of biochemistry ahd chemical engineering. A greenhouse facility for the School of Biological Sciences and a technology transfer facility also are included in the proj ect. The site for the project has not been determined.
