Most of the credit for successful concerts, Fremstad said, belongs to more than 150 student volunteers in the major concert presentation team. These students help set up the concerts, provide transportation for the band, deliver tickets, cater and take care of other duties that make the concert a success. Fremstad said the major concert presentation team has Tuesday meetings at 6 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. Interested students can still join, Fremstad said Sandi Patti, a gospel rock singer, was the first performer of the 19881989 year. Fremstad said the crowd turn-out was very good for this concert and he was pleased with the results. He said he hopes that the next three concerts will oe even more successful. The British band Def Leppard will perform Wednesday, Oct. 19 with L. A. Guns. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. A few tickets are still available. Rod Stewart, a veteran rocker, will play Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets went on sale last Saturday and are selling well. Van Halen will be playing Nov. 5. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday. Tickets can be purchased at Yonkers ticket outlets, Pickles Records and Tapes, Twisters, Homers in Omaha and at the Ne braska Union.
