Husker JV beats St. Thomas
with record-breaking score

Monday was not a good day for the
St. Thomas (Minn.) junior varsity
One example: The Tommies
forced Nebraska to punt for the first
time midway through the4th quarter.
The Husker center’s snap sailed over
the punter’s head and bounced back
wards to the Nebraska 25-yard line.
After a few St. Thomas players
couldn’t pick up the football, it
bounced into Husker I-back Andre
Me Duffy’s hands. Me Duffy broke a
couple of Sl Thomas tackles and
relumed the fumble 75 yards for an
apparent Nebraska touchdown.
But, in one of the few lucky breaks
for the Tommies all day, the touch

a lab in California, I think it’s the
UCLA Medical Center,” Osborne
said. “It’s the most sophisticated test
in the world. The tests for the Olym

volved in that kind of thing. If you
work hard in the weight room and arc
really dedicated, you can be good
without using drugs.
“I think the game is much cleaner
now then it was in the 1970’s.”
