Timex woman to perform at Zoo

Zora Young, the Timex watch

woman, and her band make a three
day run beginning tonight at the Zoo
Bar, 136 N. 14th St.
She has a wonderful presence on
stage and a deep-throated voice. Her
performances are often compelling.
She won the battle of the vocalists last
year performing with Earlcnc Owens.

Unfortunately, Young has not
done much recording, but her backing
band has appeared on Alligator Rec
ords’ continuing series, “The New
Bluebloods.” With her more recent
successes, a record contract cannot be
far off.
Cover is $3 all three nights. Music
is scheduled to begin about 9:30 p.m.
