of suburbs strung together by its
concrete tentacles, freeways.

and no herds of people crowding
the streets. You just see mill ions of
homes crammed on the sides of
mountains, shopping malls, palm
frees on every comer, smog and
cars. People in L.A. don i drive
your average car; they 'oom
around ihe freeways in BMWs,
Volvos, Mercedes Benzes. Saabs,
jaguars and Volkswagen Rabbits.
That s it. Evidently, Los Ange
lenos spend so much time in their
car that 1 hey feel it’s their home, so
only ‘uxury vehicles will do.
