Foreign film series to show 11 movies From Staff Reports The University Program Council’s Foreign Film Series of fers a variety of Films this year. Jim Arthur, chairperson of the series, said the Films will include a documentary and 11 commercial films — five comedies and art Films like “Caravaggio,” which chronicles the life of Mich elangelo. Arthur said the organization docsn ’ t have a lot of in formation on the films, which makes it difficult to get any information to the pub lic. He said the Foreign Film Series is one of the oldest student-ori ented activities at the University of Ncbraska-Lincoln. The series has shown “inspirational films from other countries” for the last 3 1/2 decades, he said. The committee adopted a new group-rate policy that will offer a 25 percent discount for groups of 10 or more. A list of all the mem bers in a group should be left with the committee adviser or chairper son in the UPC office, Nebraska Union 200. The films for 1987-1988 in clude: Oct. 18: “Marathon Family,” from Yugoslavia. Nov. 1: “Package Tour,” from Hungary. Nov. 15: “Sacrificed Youth,” from China. Dec. 6: “No End,” from Poland. Jan. 31: “Caravaggio,” from Great Britain. Feb. 14: “The Crazy Family,” from Japan. Feb. 28: “Faces of Women,” from the Ivory Coast March 13: “The Assault,” from Holland. April 3: “Summer,” from France. April 17: “Kaos,” from Italy. Admission is $3.75 for the gen eral public and $2.75 for students. Group rates are available for every one. A season pass is $20, $15 for students.
