NEE from Page 9 Nee said he chose to take full responsibility for the Huskers' conference-opening loss to the Wildcats because it was his responsibility to get Nebraska ready for the contest. Despite low scores from guard Brian Carr and forward Bernard Day, Nee said he couldn't blame Nebraska's loss on either one of tjie seniors. "Bernard is open and we're not get ting him the ball," Nee said. "I don't think Brian Carr is responsible in any way for the 32-point loss. They are play ing him hard. He's not getting the same shots." Nee said the fact that the 10-4 Huskers don't have a Wednesday night game this week should help in Nebras ka's preparations for their televised contest against Colorado on Saturday. The game, which is scheduled to begin at 1:10 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, will be televised locally by Ray corn Sports. Nee said the game against the 5-7 Buffaloes will be a difficult one because Colorado possesses an abundance of strength inside. The Buffaloes' front line includes 6 10 Matt Bullard and 6-7 Dan Becker at the forward positions and 6-9 Scott Wilke at the center position. Ken Countryman, 6-3, and David Kuosman, 6-4, are Colorado's starting guards. "I think they (Colorado) have im proved drastically since the beginning of the season," Nee said. "They are getting some consistency." Nee said his friendship with first year Colorado coach Tom Miller goes back several years, as the two first met when Miller was an assistant coach at Indiana and he was an assistant coach at Notre Dame. Double standards plague media BOZ from Page 9 Two years ago, Bosworth made a statement that he didn't like Texas' jerseys, or anything about Texas for that matter. He was labled a "rotten guy" right then and there. Thomas recently made statement of how he hoped the LSU quarterback would last two quarters so he could deck him. He said that if he broke someone's arm on the field that it was just part of the game. Nebraskans rejoiced. They now had a new folk hero. I can hear it now: "Shame on Brian Bosworth for saying that Texas' jerseys are ugly, but 'hooray' for Broderick Thomas for threatening to break someone's arm during the Sugar Bowl!" i U O OFF ANY FRAMING OR PAINTING SUPPLIES (With This Coupon) I i 720 "O" Street ANN BUCIiQLPER Original Oil and Watercolor (Not Valid With Other Offers) 477-3305 jC1Fj and Co-Sponsors invite you to attend their Tuesday, the twentieth of January I nineteen hundred and eighty-seven at seven o'clock in the evening Pershing Municipal Auditorium Lincoln, Nebraska Pick up your free invitation at: Sassi's at the Wedding Tree 2530 "0" Street Ben Simon's - Downtown and Gateway Susie's Floral Shoppe - Gateway North Blevin's Mesdowlane Pharmacy - 70th & Vine Special Moments Wedding Shop 4009 "0" Street Boomer's Printing - 1212 "O" Street Sartor Hamann --1150 "0" Street and Gateway United Rent-Alls -710 North 48th Russ's IGA - 66th & "O", 27th & Hwy. 2, 17th t Washington Evans Studio - 1 124 North Cotner FirsTier Lincoln - 13th El "M", 13th & "L", 56th t "O", 48th & Van Dorn H & R Block 2365 "O" Street The Phoenix 3810 Normal KFOR Radio, 825 Stuart Building 1-?
