Dirksen said the men's team is run ning very well and could finish as high as third In the Big Eight. Last year, Nebraska finished fifth. Dirksen said it will be tough for the men's team to finish among the top two of the confer ence because both Iowa State and Colorado have strong teams. I don't see anybody beating them," Dirksen said. "But it was a good exper ience for our runners to run against that tough of competition." Dirksen said that during the next couple of weeks workouts won't be as intense. Coaches will concentrate on getting the runners rested up and ready for the Big Eight competition, Dirksen said.
