Daily Nebraskan Wednesday, September 3, 1986 UNL Theatre 'package' cuts costs Page 15 By Betty Ciemnoczolowski Staff Reporter The UNL Department of Theatre Arts and Dance has announced that tickets are now on sale for the 1986-87 season. This year, ticket prices have increased slightly, the first increase in many years. General admission tickets now cost $8, while student tickets cost $6. Season tickets are available in three cost-saving packages. "Mainstage Pops" is a package which includes, "Celebration," "Flea in Her Ear," "Dancing Gershwin," "Pri vate Lives," and "Midsummer Night's Dream." The cost is $24 for students and $32 for non-students. The cost of this package is 20 percent below the price of buying tickets individually. The "Two plus Two" package offers the "Chekhov in Yalta," "Fifth of July" and your choice of five other plays. Student cost is $22 and non-students will be charged $29. Cost savings is 10 percent. The "Theatre Lover" package con sists of all seven shows for $30 for stu dents and $40 for non-students, a 30 percent savings. Season tickets are exhangeable as late as two days in advance for any performance if tickets are still avail able. With the "Theatre Lover" series, ticketholders can choose their own seats and the nights they want to see the performances. Also, all tickets will be mailed before the season begins. Fifteen minutes before curtain time on show nights, any remaining tickets that are available are released. Any UNL student can usher.
