Dream wedding takes planning, sacrifice

to be a partner is the top priority of
marriage for most couples planning
marriage.
However, in a world where econom
ics are closely monitored, the finan
cial part of the wedding becomes
another important factor in the
marriage.
Many couples avoid marriage
because of the expenses. They say
they would rather wait until they can
afford the wedding of their dreams.
But there are couples that are
ready to pull out their wallets and
watch as the green paper slips
through their fingers in return for
that dream wedding.
For those happy couples, or any
others that might be thinking about
taking "the big plunge," we've com
piled a list of expenses that they
should expect for their wedding.
One of the first expenses that they
will encounter is the cost of the
engagement ring and wedding bands.
Terri Tramel, managertrainee at
Zales Jewelers, 159 Lincoln Gateway,
said the average couple spends about
$550 to $700 on the engagement ring
and wedding band for the woman.
The man's band can cost $225 to
$600, she said.
