UNL Homecoming nominees
cut from 60 to 18 finalists
Eighteen candidates have been
selected as finalists in UNL's 1985
Homecoming Royalty Contest.
Finalists include:
Tammy Kaup, a senior news-editorial
major from Bassett.
Daniel J. Longacre, a senior compu
ter science and engineering major from
Bellevue.
Milli King, a senior news-editorial
and Spanish major from Central City.
Lisa Edens, a senior speech pathol
ogy major from Harrisburg.
Jay Keasling, a senior chemistrybi
ology major from Harvard.
Mary Marcy, a senior speech com
munication major from Hay Springs.
Marybeth Prusa, a senior home eco
nomicsvocational education major from
Howells.
Mark Leeper, a senior political
science major from Lincoln.
Kimberly Frances Wood, a senior
physical science major from Lincoln.
Jan Ward, a senior marketing and
marketing education major from North
Platte.
Lynn DiDonato, a senior biology
major from Omaha.
Jeff Hansen, a senior business ad
ministration major from Omaha.

A special committee of faculty mem
bers and students chose the candi
dates from more than 60 nominees.
UNL students will select a man and
woman to reign as Homecoming Roy
alty at an election Oct. 23 on City and
East campuses.
The 1985 Homecoming couple will
be announced Oct. 26 during half-time of
the Nebraska-University of Colorado
football game.
Group discusses 1999 values

Some UNL students, faculty and
staff members will get to choose one
item of greatest value to bring with
them to the year 1999 as part of a forum
sponsored by the Life Work Inquiry
Group on Nov. 14.
People from the UNL community will

Machinery is sponsoring a Plato Users
group meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in
Ferguson Hall 217. The meeting is open
to the public.
Students who received tuition state
ments that showed a credit balance
can pick up refund checks at the Stu
dent Accounts window, Administration
Building 204, weekdays starting today
from 8:30 am. to 4 p.m. However,
refund checks will not be available
until about Nov. 6 for credit balances
resulting from late scholarships, grants
and awards that were not printed on
tuition statements; courses dropped
after Sept. 4, but before the end of the
refund period, and overpayments. Stu
dents must present a valid UNL identi
fication card to pick up refund checks.
