THE APPLICANT: For students who are seniors during the 1985-86 academic year and will have graduated by summer 1986, and for all graduate students. Applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application, have a bachelor's degree before leaving for abroad, and in most cases have a working knowledge of the language of the host country.
